I love the metaphor of life being a journey. We travel through this life in community with others. The people we know and hang out with have an influence on us. What we choose to do or not to do, what we choose to say or not say has an impact on those around us. It is virtually impossible to live in a vacuum where we don't have an impact on those around us. So life is a journey ... a journey we take with those with whom we come into contact.
But what kind of journey is your life? What kind of journey is my life? Yeah, now we're getting somewhere! I think of Jesus who was on a journey. He had a small band of people with whom he shared his life. His life, however, wasn't an ordinary journey; it was a revolutionary journey. He set in motion a movement that has shaped and changed history.
As a follower of Jesus Christ, my life should be a revolution of sorts; it should carry forward the revolution that Jesus started. This blog is a modest attempt at carrying forward the Revolution. ~James Brummett
